Whether its that some fan showed up to a signing wearing a shirt for the Dream Theater album he didn’t drum on, or that a drum set was set up so insufficiently it sets off sporadic impromptu rapping, Mike likes to complain.
He’s at it again, folks.
Mike, who is on a tour of Europe with the Neal Morse Band, has gone off on a London hospital on social media.
He claims the Whittington Hospital refused to see him in a timely fashion after he was forced to miss a meet-and-greet with fans tonight because he’s so fucking ill.
“A very special NO THANKS to the staff at the Whittington Hospital for NOT seeing me regardless of telling them that there is an audience waiting for our show to begin… I finally left withOUT seeing a doctor in order to make tonight’s show… I have no idea how the hell I’m going to make it through this show…I can’t even stand up or lift my arms.”
Well, if you’re that sick, Mike, maybe you shouldn’t be playing. Not that I know what’s actually wrong with Mike to cause him to feel that shitty, but I seriously doubt there’s anything the doctors could have done to make you feel better in time for a gig.
Anyways, one person called out Portnoy on Facebook, saying, “Not to be rude, but if someone was dying, I’d hope they didn’t move you to the front of the line just to get you to a show. Very narcissistic thinking here.”
Truly. I love that Mike points out that he told the staff at the hospital he had an audience awaiting his presence. I love that he feels he’s entitled to special treatment.
He should have gone to some sort of walk-in clinical, which he probably could’ve afforded. Hospitals and emergency rooms are notoriously slow, bro. Especially in big cities. What a wanker!
Portnoy replied to the commenter: “Keep ‘em coming! Can’t wait for everyone to see what an idiot you are before I ban you.”
If you’re bored, go tell Mike how you feel on this post on his Facebook page.
